TRAINING
“STRONG BACK, SOFT FRONT, WILD HEART”
Since 2013, Chaskis Theatre have been developing a unique style of practice and professional actor training. With roots in the Meisner Technique, the research of Brené Brown & an active commitment to the decolonisation of curriculum led by Raymi Ortusté-Quiroga, we work in a creative, inclusive, and compassionate environment.
Our practitioners teach at leading UK drama schools, and also run drop-in sessions and workshops.
A playground to explore authenticity, vulnerability, and truthful connection.
Over August/September we have THREE unique workshops:
EMOTIONAL PREP, KNOCK AT THE DOOR & MEISNER ETUDES.
In these workshops we will work on:
Nurturing empathy - the most important tool for an actor
Reconnecting with our community
Building ensemble
Coming back to the foundations of repetition. Remembering what it means to truly listen & to respond by trusting your unique instincts.
Exploring Meisner Etudes: the unique Chaksis practice, developed by Raymi Ortusté Quiroga & the company.
Get all three workshops for under £75 using the code TRIPLEBUNDLE when you purchase them together.
Currently, our sessions are designed for people who are advanced in the Meisner Technique. For us, this means you have an in-depth understanding of the repetition exercise, activities, knock on the door, and emotional preparation. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are more than happy to have a chat with you.
Don’t forget to sign up to our mailing list so you stay up to date about future workshops!
“Chaskis’ work permeates all of my acting experience. I’m empowered to be vulnerable and to plunge into what human connection really is.”
